Developing and mainaining Open Source Software is a joint operation. Funding, users and developers have to cooperate to get an optimal result. In developing the software, it is not only a matter of bringing organizations together, individuals must be involved too, either as developer, tester, user or whichever role.
Find out here who is involved.
There are 4 ways to collaborate with ABCD.
The ISIS e-mail list
This list has over 1500 members, most of them users of one of the many CDS/ISIS varieties. Questions of rather general nature but also specific ones on ABCD can be posted here and will possibly get replies in one of the main languages (Spanish, English, French). Questions which are too vague or insufficiently specific (e.g. ‘My ABCD does not work, what should I do ?’ or ‘My login is not accepted’) will need to be re-phrased or otherwise left without reaction.
The ABCD WIKI
Free for passive use, registration for editing authorisation.
Here lots of documents on ABCD are submitted and kept updated (by the WIKI-mechanism). Specific sub-wiki’s are available for the main ABCD Suite parts, i.e. ABCD Central, ABCD iAH, ABCD SeCS, ABCD EmpWeb?
There will also be a section on ABCD training and ABCD documentation.
Github
You can submit specific requests to add features, fix bugs or change functions of the software.
After submitting an issue a responsible person will be assigned to do an evaluation. Issues must be very specific.
Donations
Today the ABCD has no sponsors or funding institutions. The entire development of ABCD is the dedicated work of its employees, who do so on a voluntary basis.
In order for ABCD to improve, it needs investment, so if you would like to contribute financially, just use the button below.
Any help is always welcome.
